Trade Academies.

These are courses to give individuals an insight into the trade industry, a chance to see if it’s a career path they want to pursue within a trade discipline. CTH will not be reliant on third party providers to take clients on placement as we will have the resource in house through the trade stations to make sure clients are ready to go with another provider.

Tools Training.

Training and awareness on how to use power tools & hand tools safely and correctly. This will be carried out in both our Office and Workshop and hopefully become a tool hire service in the future.

Back to Work.

The Trade Stations will be used for those in unemployment due to learning difficulties, lack of skills, confidence, mental health issues etc. Especially in the area of Leven, there is a desperate need for the skills we will be providing. From our market research it shows there is minimal opportunities for sustainable employment lack of the correct support which has a devastating effect on moral confidence work experience and skills development.

After School Project.

After school club where S1 to S6 school pupils can come together in a work class where they can build something together – shed, hut, bench, community furniture, planters etc.

Trade Station Training.

Individual stations for each trade (tiling, plumbing, joinery etc).  They will be designed for people to learn new skills and develop life-long learning. This will help individuals and providers as they would be skilled before they go into placements, voluntary placements, colleges, employment and self-employment. All work carried out at the trade stations will be set in a safe and friendly environment.

DIY Workshops.

The workshops are there to help people save money by being able to competently and safely complete work at home. We will also be selling gift vouchers for this service as our research shows that many people who have ‘promised’ to get something fixed in the home but haven’t got round to it or as highlighted they don’t have the skills needed so they just don’t want to tackle the job.

Home Trade Help.

To give low fixed income homeowners an opportunity to get small or large work done where they can’t afford contractors and don’t have the skills, health or time to carry out.

Construction Consortium.

This is a consortium of local tradespeople  that will come together to bid for public and private sector contracts under the CTH Network brand where they will help support placements and apprenticeship etc. The Hub will also act as a central contact for local reliable, trustworthy tradesmen who provide a quality service at a fair price.
