Community Development & Work Experience – Stage 2

Course Description

Pupils must pass Stage 1 before being accepted onto stage 2 which is more community based. Pupils will be given a chance to work on community projects with the CTH work team. Pupils are given the chance to see what it is like in a real-life job setting dealing with customer care working to a high standard of attendance, work ethic and manners when in a working environment learning more practical skills on the way, gaining more soft skills as they go along. Pupils will take part in planning cooking days and events with the supervisors thinking about what materials they will need. Pupils will be asked to think about what they are wanting to do as a career and make plans for this. One to One support will be given to help the pupils achieve this.


Times: 9:30-12am – 12:30-14:30pm
Duration: 10-week Sessions at 1 day a week.


These sessions are planned for pupils to put their skills learnt and work ethics to the test from stage 1.

Pupils will be set challenges on carrying out more skilled tasks with a good work ethic and key principles applied, manners, Respect and 100% effort.

There is a wide selection of certificates that can be achieved but this will be tailored to pupil and career avenues.
